Sweet baby Jesus

Niel Boortz can wait, my sarcasm on Ohio can wait. But Jesus, the U.N. is telling us not to move ahead with a major offensive against Falluja and of course, we ain't listening.

It's a goddamn mess there right now. No one wants to listen to anyone, people are still dying but "We intend to liberate the people and bring the rule of law,"

Fellahs, take a step back. It's not sticking. They say the window is closing for a peaceful settlement. Was it ever open? 200,000 people have fled the city, leaving 50,000 to fend for themselves, but:

"It's easy for those not in Iraq to underestimate the overwhelming concern the Iraqis have for security. There cannot be an area as big as Falluja which is allowed to be a base for terrorism,"

What? It seems those in Iraq are concerned enough to get the fuck out before our coalition of the willing jacks the place up.

But to quote the other side:

The spokesman for the U.S. mission to the United Nations, Richard Grenell, also slammed Annan's comments, saying that "spectator nations and international organizations should be doing more in Iraq and not from New York." CNN

Yeah, because we have it all under control.

W, please explain this to me again.

What sucks is that we knew W was planning this for weeks, he just didn't want to go through with it before the election.

Classy move, asshole.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again:

The gates of hell are now open, and we are now all just as little-bit screwed.
